Nice! Is that a ‘74?

I notice you have the cover bolted on as some sort of armrest/handrest. Any photos of you playing the bass, I’m curious how your technique relates to the cover.

The reason I ask is on my Rick 3000, I installed a thumbrest near the bridge to act as a palmrest/handrest.

Yeah, at the time I was probably a 50/50 player...with a pick, and fingers.
The PU cover works as the right place to anchor the heel of my right hand as the plectrum strikes the strings directly over the treble pickup.
It’s been working for me for better than 4 decades...imagine that!!

I always keep a pick handy, but I rarely use one anymore.

It's from an Aria PE800 six string though, and if I can't find it (which I'm getting quite concerned about) I'll probably struggle to find a replacement.

It's my new Sadowsky NYC Vintage Deluxe model with 59' burst color. I run it through a Diamond compressor and it sounds pretty damn good.

My 1997 yamaha bbg4. I had taken neck off. I saw some stamps on neck and body that seem to be older, possibly

from 1986. Serial look up for serial number on back of headstock shows nov. 27th 97. Older than i thought?
