The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by smperry, Oct 2, 2013.

  1. After 10 years of being a member that didn't always have the means to post em', I'd proudly like to present my current stable. I envisioned my first post to this thread to be one of those really nice group shots taken outside on individual guitar stands on a sunny day.. However, any instrument related purchases for me as of late are gonna be tied up in a million other directions rather than 6 guitar stands. So without further a due, my stable (please pardon the blurry phone pictures):

I just picked up this Godin Freeway 4 for an amazing $250 CAD. Super happy with my first bass! It was the same price as the most basic Squier P bass new.

Seriously considering the TRBX505 as my first 5 string.

I'd recommend it. But buy a set of strings and be prepared to immediately change them - the stock strings suck.

Bummer :(. Musicians Friend had them on sale for $599 and I had some points to burn. I’m really glad I jumped on it. It’s a great example too, with impeccable fret and nut work. I’m likely change the pickups but that’s about it. The Player series basses are very, very nice if this one is any indication of their overall quality (I know...fat chance, right?). I have to admit being a little torn between this one and the limited edition Tele bass, but I think I made the right choice. Plus, if I ever get bored I can swap necks and have a brand new bass anytime I want ;).
