I r gently switched from rotos to those. I think they’re both equal but better than each other in their own ways. Love both.
For almost 5 years I’ve been buying/selling/trying/learning about many different versions and visions of passive Jazz basses via TalkBass.
After gigging/recording with a ton of them, I ended up with these 4 keepers.

Finally, all family members could gather and be photographed. They are EWB205WNE-NT Acoustic, BTB685SC-NTF Terra Firma, SRC6-WNF Crossover, SRH505-DEF Aerium, SRFF806-BKS Multi-Scale, SRF705-BBF Portamento, SRAS7-RSG Ashula, and BTB7-NTF 7 Strings.

It's the lightest (long scale) 6 string bass that I've ever owned. It weighs 3.8 kg, thus it's a very comfortable bass for hourly gigging for any six string bass players. Previously, I had few other (long scale) 6ers weighing in the 5~6 kg area. All got sold because of this grey Ibby Multi-Scale.
Tonalities across all 6 strings are balanced with the Multi-Scale. When compared to my BTB 7 string, which is a single 35" scale, the Multi-Scale doesn't suffer thin sounding and overly tight highest strings.
For me, it's a solid gear, although it still required some visits to guitar tech friend of mine when I received it. There were some fret leveling jobs needed to be done (although bringing a bass to a tech friend is somewhat expected upon receiving every new bass of mine). And there's also the preamp which seems to have a kind of issue (or maybe not). The preamp active position has lower volume than passive. I haven't popped up the back cavity cover to see whether there's an internal potentio which I could adjust to level up the active volume. If there isn't one, I might as well change the stock preamp to Bartolini USA preamp.
Man, I wish I could afford one. My 5-String Ibanez was stolen. It just feels strange playing on four strings. I am disabled and I have arthritis really bad. Neck and shoulders are affected. Luckily, I can sit and practice as I recover. I had both hips replaced three years ago, so that doesn't affect my standing to play. Hell, music is part of my recovery process. Social Security is my only income. It's all good. I can jam my problems away. LOL
