Progress is slow and eBay seems to have robbed me of a pickup. It's a shame I'm going to make this ugly as sin by cramming as much crap as possible in the oversized control cavity.
It'll have 11 DPDT pickup control switches, a kill switch, a volume, a treble bleed, a tone pot, two veritones, a quarter-inch Jack, a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack, and one extra special DPDT switch that will route the string and bridge wire to either ground or positive.
It's an Ibanez gsr200 and I think I'm the third owner. When I bought it the pots were so crackly and would cut out at certain spots it was hardly playable.
Now I've completely gutted and bored it out for rev 3 customization build.
Rev 1 was a cheap active electronic set with EQ that was way too hot for comfort
Rev 2 what's the second image with the standard pickups and a couple of DPDT switches
For rev 3 it's being purpose-built to be played through a giant subwoofer.
It's getting string sizes 85 to 170 and will be tuned to the open range of 25 to 50 hertz with about 30 lb of tension on each string.
