The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

This is my MIM P- Bass. The pickup coil broke shortly after I bought it, so it has the Fender ‘62 P-Bass pickups in it now.

It has a stacked volume/tone, and the chicken head knob is a selector that switches between capacitor “A”, capacitor “B”, vol/tone bypass, and an off position that kills the output. Might take one cap out or lose the “off” position and do something like add a built in fuzz one day.

I mean, she could definitely rock a white pearloid pickguard (like she already is), but something brownish against that finish!?!?!?!? Mayhaps I just have particular tastes, but no thank you...

Everyone knows that tort only belongs on oly white or sunburst basses.

Or red ones.

Oh, and blue ones....with matching headstocks!

Or olive green ones.

Doh! Black ones too!

Then there are natural ones as well.

I guess if green and blue work, so does mint.

And yellow.

Probably anything in the silver/gray palette too.

I guess the only thing it wouldn't work on is a full tort bass...but that would probably work too.

Ok, here's my new-to-me/used Fender MIM 60's Reissue Jazz in oly w/tort. It's been beat to all heck with some dents and chunks out of the finish but I really like it. Best neck I've ever played.
