3. MJT Alder P body/Warmoth Roasted Maple neck with Pau Ferro board. The body is Firemist Gold and the pickguard is an aged black. Tuners are Gotoh FB30 Nickel Relics and the bridge is an aged Wilkinson. Pickup is a Lollar Overwound P with a Gunstreet Wiring Treble bleed harness. Strung with Slinky Cobalt Flats.

Beautiful bass, looks to be pretty rare too. I love that finish checking, it’s one of my favorite characteristics of an instruments finish. Looks amazing.This is as far as my research goes a prototype of the Framus Jan Akkerman Bass. It has an added passive boost. It was build for a famous german bass player. It was sold to me 2 years ago after it came out of a closet. All the crackles were created by it standing years against two heating pipes.
