You guys have some collections! Here’s mine... the jazz is self explanatory... the one on the left is a custom I had made in ‘79.. body shape based on the Guild B301, ash body, maple neck... had the frets pulled after 18 months. Needs some work now, pots are scratchy, wiring and pups are needing redone/changed... Having some issues with the relief at the moment, it’s only a single truss rod which is struggling with the heat and humidity (I’m in Austria and it’s 30+ degC here)..

truth be told the fretboard has taken a bit of a hammering playing with rounds. Worth absolutely nothing to anyone else, priceless to me

Price-wise my basses from Chris have been fairly close to the higher end MIA Fenders (Elites or American Originals) or EBMM Stingray Specials. Definitely not cheap, but I'd argue a real bargain for a completely handmade and completely custom instrument. A great bang for the buck luthier.

Doesn't stop me from wanting a Lake Placid Blue Fender Original 6o's Pbass or a Stingray Special 4H in Dropped Copper though!

Yeah, his prices are a bargain, but just out of my budget :(. But hey, Tom Clement is in my budget and makes some equally gorgeous stuff.

Personally, when it comes to name brand instruments, probably an Olympic White P with a tort guard. If possible, get a jazz neck with an oly white headstock and piece them together. Oh, and a Rick.
