ah ha , I do sometimes use a BA as a counterweight , can be very useful in some cases and it's a great bridge . But stupid heavy knobs no thank you .

This is the kind of stuff I love seeing! Really nice bass! According to the SN it’s from May of 1978. Ebony fretboard (21), bone nut, mini-Schallers, XLR out. Years later I modded it with a Hip Shot drop D tuner, Seymour Duncan pup, and EMG electronics. Neck is still straight as an arrow. I love it!
