Beautiful soundgear! How does it handle the swamp climate (witcher reference, ya vodyanoi ;P)?

A fretless multiscale ? Didn't think that was an actual thing... not too hard to adapt ?

Still, I'd like to try that. And a fretted one also, never had the opportunity to try a multiscale...

I would definitely need a lined/flat fretted neck for MS fretless!

I'm guessing you'll have to play more by "feel"... like when you feel yourself cringing because you're out of tune, wiggle your fretting finger around like a madman and pretend it's jazz or something

One of my greatest mistakes was selling my ATK (d'oh d'oh d'oh!!!!) and buying a fretless to "make" myself learn it as it was my only bass...

...it was beautiful wall-art for about 13 years... ...and I no longer had my ATK...

Made a Precision out of the spare parts I had sitting around + a freshly snagged body + neck from the TB Classifieds.
Mysterious possibly MIJ Precision body coupled with a set of roadworn Quarter Pound pickups pulled from my ‘19 Mendel Sig + my spare Omega bridge:

Paired with a minty ‘09 Fender Standard MIM neck:

Turned out pretty great! Strung up with some Roto 66’s. I might change up the guard this coming week but kinda digging the tort!

for most it’s a really easy and quick transition. The fretless feels quite natural to me As well but that said I’ve been on fanned frets for a while now.

on the occasion I look down on a parallel fret neck and it looks like the fan is inverted due to the unfamiliarity on Parallel fret necks.

One thing you’ll find is that Dingwalls intonate incredibly well.....
so the bass does all the work for you.

That And a little vibrato goes along way

For those interested, the green one is unique. It's made by an italian luthier who sells the remainder of what he's got left on ebay for a pittance. I can provide details if someone's interested. The basses are BEAUTIFUL and the one I got plays very weel. Just maybe too much neck weight and it dives a bit. But I don't care.
