Anything over 10 lbs hurts my old shoulder after about a half hour but I can play a 9 lb 6 oz Bass all evening without any discomfort. I use a 2 1/2" leather strap and tried a 3 1/2 but it always ended up digging into my neck. My Son loves his new 3 1/2 in strap now, LOL.Anything under 9lbs and I'm thrilled . My Slab is just under 11 lbs which is I think kinda the norm for a late 60's early 70's Tele . That is a somewhat heavy in my book .
There you go, picture just taken this afternoon.
From left to right:
Fender Precision Custom Shop '59 Faded Chocolate Three tone SunBurst made in 2017 - limited edition for NAMM
Gibson Thunderbird Bicentennial ( 1976 ) made in 1977 - you all know the story behind these incredible limited edition Basses by Gibson!!!
Fender Custom Shop 1960 Heavy Relic in Aged Sherwood green made in 2020 - absolutely the best Jazz Bass ever built!!!
Rickenbacker 4003s in Jetglo with waverider pickups installed ( the best out there !!! ) made in 2016 - the best slim neck profile I ever felt in any of the Ric Basses I have had, and I played quite a few!! She is a keeper that one!!
Yes, I admit, I like having the pickup covers for the neck pickups.

I should be all settled in now I hope ......... I think I just need a Stingray now...... !!!If you can't get the Job done with those beautiful tools of the trade it couldn't be done anyway.![]()
Good daily drivers and good examples of their respective lines. These are my two main basses. A 2006 MIM P Bass, blizzard pearl finish with some smokey bar room mojo. And my recent addition is a 2019 EBMM Stingray Special. So light and a great player.
Added this new Dingwall Combustion-5 C3 in Vintageburst last week. Thought I'd share a couple of photos.

Here's my latest video! Checking out my Glarry P-Bass (the one from the giveaway). At nearly 1/5th the price of my MIM P-bass, is it 1/5th the bass? Let's find out!

Can't wait to plug her in and show her off in here. I'm really impressed with the sound for the price!

You should introduce a new scale of how many Hardluck Kings a bass is. Like the Glarry may be 1.5 HLKs but the Spector is 10 HLKs.
