Really nice! What's the middle one?
It started as a butterscotch Squier 54 Paranormal Jazz... I've since had the body refinished in shell pink, changed the pick guard, added a high mass bridge, swapped out the neck for a Fender roasted maple jazz neck, and upgraded the pots and wiring to cloth/CTS... About the only thing stock on it is the body itself and even that's been refinished now.
Well it looks like one heck of a bass machine! They all do! I love the colours and roasted necks.

And Aguilar pickups, yes? Those alone make it a bass of distinction.
You're not going to find a new one at this point, but a Blacktop Jazz bass may be what you're looking for...

1993 Precision with Epic Custom Shop Pickup, custom wood pickguard and 0.1uf capacitor.
D’Mark Omega 5 - Spalted Maple top, pickup covers and knobs and a Pure Tone jack.

Custom Bass I’ve been working on (95% complete) - it has a maple neck with epoxy inlays, walnut top on headstock, custom wound Nordstrand dual coil, 920d Customs wiring, and I added a 3 position switch for series, single coil & parallel. Just waiting on a walnut pickguard to arrive from Argentina.

Nice collection. I`m thinking of getting a Sub 5 the same as yours as a first 5 string bass. What do you think of it?
I absolutely love it. It's the classic MM sound at a tenth if the cost. This too was my first 5 string endeavor. Since playing the 5 strings, I don't play the 4 too often.
No need for wanderlust, when you have everything near you
GFB - the neck on the P is killing my left hand - so the J is better - but here is an idea.
Project started.
Got the body here without a neck - considering a Never P neck smaller profile and just no back pickup - still thinking.

My bass family from oldest (to me) to newest.
Ibáñez MC-888 Bean Bass 1983. I've had it since the mid 1990s.
This bass has saved me a lot of money. I have never played a bass with better action. Has a rather specific sound though. Growly and ready to fight with people in higher frequencies.
Also here is its beautiful case. Was in a car wreck that busted the tail end up. Bass beat up passenger in the wreck. Bass was unharmed. Bass wasn't even out of tune.
Warwick Corvette. Such a lovely mwwwahhh, even across all positions.
Reverend Thundergun. 2017. My alternative main for a while to the Ibáñez. It is capable of a more regular sound, albeit a bit on the hot side of pickups. Also excellent low action. 1.5 to 1mm from E to G. Of all my fretted instruments, I'd note I never had to take a file to a fret on this one. Excellence off the rack.
Warwick Corvette $$ 4 string with an excellent thumb rest which can be tuned to B.

Newest. Still working on the frets. 2 mm on the E, 1.5 on the A and I still get a little buzz playing mf. Acceptable but not ideal. I probably will actually keep the action as such. It works well for the tone of this bass not to be as low as some others, I think with the single pickup placement. But I'll get the couple frets that are imperfect and we'll be happy.
Opps. realize I don't have a picture of my electric upright BSX. Second oldest to me. The stand is a bit buried in the closet.
It doesn't look like much though. It has black coated flatwounds on it right now so it looks just like a black slab of blackness. This is a very good drawing.

This is pic from internet but have this one, Ibanez gsr180. I think its fine for first bass.
I agree, it's an excellent first bass, far superior to what many of us had available when we first started. Based upon my experience with many other Ibanez basses (currently own 8, have owned maybe 40) I'd also happily gig it.
I hope you get a lot of years of pleasure out of it, and much fun. Welcome to TB, but beware of GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) and keep the 180 until it's an impediment to your progress.
