I'm not really a Ric guy for no other reason than I've never owned one or spent any time with one. Inform me, what's that piece of hardware below the bridge and under your hand?

Looks to be the arch thingy that usually goes over the bridge pickup and strings... Like they did on old fenders, but I believe many Ric players attach it like that instead of fully removing it. I've see this before.

You actually for me the best would be a P neck with a J body and a P pickup only. I love the J body - but would make it have a P pickup only.
