ThanksI agree, it's an excellent first bass, far superior to what many of us had available when we first started. Based upon my experience with many other Ibanez basses (currently own 8, have owned maybe 40) I'd also happily gig it.
I hope you get a lot of years of pleasure out of it, and much fun. Welcome to TB, but beware of GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) and keep the 180 until it's an impediment to your progress.
