This is me every time I pickup a cell phone!!!!!
This is a Warmoth SSB shorty with a 32" Warmoth warhead in Ziricote w/ Ebony board . The Body is Sugar Pine and was told the day of ordering it was the last piece they had . It is finished by Paul Slagle of Pittman guitars , same builder of that red P above and is just magical and crazy light . Paul passed a couple years ago and was a very talented builder & finisher . r.i.p Paul ..
it has one of Paul's friends pups in it , a Pacific North West wind and is just off the charts . another love of my life xxx
If you ever decide to part with that please shoot me a PM...
Left to right
MiM P (getting lollar pups soon)
All original 1976 P
Semi restored 1973 P
Zirocote neck? Can we see more photos of that? I’m intrigued. How’s the stability and influence on tone?
Sure I’ll get some this weekend. It seems stable. I’ve had it for years and it’s just like the other necks around here , only needs an occasional adjustment. Tone seems normal more or less. I don’t think i can narrow down any particular qualities of it but the whole instrument just sounds incredible.
Very cool. I’ve seen and own Zirocote fretboards but not necks. I wonder if it’s mot often used simply due to costs as it always seems to be a premium feature
I think so , I got this neck in a deal with an ex employee from Warmoth who told me he worked a deal with Ken Warmoth and got this billet from his personal stash . You sure don't see that often but it is the good stuff . It's very smooth and feels great with just wax finish . I'l get some pics for you later \m/
New to me this week, a 2010 Squier Matt Freeman that was already fairly modded ... and now is heavily modded.
Pearloid pg was black
Black knobs were chrome
Wilkinson bridge was HiMass
Stock pickup now Dimarzio Model P
Nut needed replacing so now Tusq
Tuners are still original, though!
It sounds just as I hoped it would
Just got this yesterday from GC online...'97 Ibanez SR1205. 24 year-old bass, and it set up beautifully.
Thanks, only took two 1/8 turns to get the neck flat!
Haven't popped in lately, but I just picked up this pristine non-import Aerodyne Jazz and had to show her off. I never thought anything would play like my Specter NS-2, but this beauty is a competitor!

Extra bonus points for the binding and uber cool pick guard. Now that baby deserves a custom decal to really finish it off.
Beautiful and some good choices made, congratulations.
The purple one doesn't look that bad either.
That Purple bass is everyone's dream bass , we all need that one !
