Here's my SX stingray bass ... The original neck was badly S curved, the original preamp buzzed badly, The new neck is one fret shorter sot the bridge had to be moved. It currently has an Audere 4 band preamp. It wired so each coil of the humbucker acts like a single coil pickup. The body is elm.

I have more, a Dean acoustic resonator fretted, an old Ovation electric liver bass, a few other oddities, but no pics of those. I also have quilted maple over mahogany bodied Iceman body on order from Warmoth to build 4 string fretless with.

This is my first post. Never been a part of a bass forum before. 43 years playing. I probably won't post too much but thought ya might like to see my odd #1 and #2.

Thats a cool and unique collection. Your #1 is just wicked! The case alone is really cool to me. I assumed the sword was a sharpening steel to keep all those points lethal! Lol!

What type is your#2 with the resonator?

Steve Wisnevsky built that. It is purely acoustic, no pickup. Steve builds interesting instruments under the name Wishbass. I have always thought the resonator would compliment fretless bass and he built this for very cheap, which is his thing; affordable, experiental instruments out of recycled and repurposed materials. This bass is very tough and compact so it goes with me everywhere.

I haven't seen. Vigier in the wild for a long time. A shop in Frankfurt sold them when I lived over there years ago. I'm sure it's a sweetheart.

I've only ever seen 2 , this one included . The other had a full carbon fiber neck , That was back in the 80's . These have a big center chunk of it and no truss rod . Somehow it's always perfect though .

If I'm not mistaken that stripe on the neck is solid carbon fiber, hence the lack of truss rod.

yes ... there are flat earthers all ... around .... the ... globe

but just 400 years ago the flat earth concept was mainstream science.

I wonder what people 400 years from now will think?

Haven't looked at my last post on this thread since I made it and boy does it feel like that was ages ago even though it's only been a little more than a year. So much has changed since then with the only remaining bass from that post being my Schecter bass.

Almost feels appropriate to do an update.

My basses are now down to my modified Schecter J-4, Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Special bass, and Peavey T-40.
