NBD for me as of yesterday -- so I'm trolling through eBay last week and decided to roll the dice on this GSR100EX being sold for "parts or not working" due to body separation issues, warning buyers it's "unplayable," etc. It arrived yesterday evening, very much in "playable" shape.

it doesn't look to me as if the body is separating so much as it is a sloppy join, where the work wasn't quite finished in connecting the upper horn to the rest of the body. $88 shipped! Came in the original box and was apparently originally from
Sweetwater.
First impressions: This is my first Ibanez bass, and I have to say I'm really impressed by it. This is a pretty humble instrument (I needed a second working bass to practice with), and though it looks as if the bridge was fished out of a cereal box and the scarf joint on the neck is clearly visible from about 25 feet away, the neck FEELS crazy good, frets very clean and smooth, the factory-set action is way low, I might have to raise it. The factory strings aren't great of course, will have to change them. Very light also, as I've heard about the Ibanezes. The pickup sounds a little muddy to me, but I didn't play with it plugged in that much yet & of course need to tweak things.
