G&L kiloton tribute and Schecter SLS Evil Twin 5 String I recently picked up.
Just completed an assembly after a few months of working on it off and on. First time trying my hand at a rattle can finish (Colormaxx coral isle and painters touch 2x matte) and at soldering pups. Glarry body and PG. Wilkinson bridge. Fender backplate and Jazzmaster knobs. Pups off the ‘Verb with white covers. Pre-wired harness from StewMac. Squier Jazz neck.

Quiet night time couch noodle. This non-RW Didn't has some goofy grain in the neck and a delightful, albeit hefty slab of ash. I want to play it loudly, but you know, manners and all. It's late.
I was at one point in time, all hung-ho on 4+1 only. But I take what I can get, and in-line 5 is still a classic Fender design. I’ve gotten used to it.5 in line is the way to go -

To me, the 4+1 looks like an 'add-on' on a Fender hs, which it was. MM designed their 4+1 based on their 3+1. Still looks like an add-on, but they became known/recognized for the 3+1 so it seemed a logical evolution.
I think Lakland’s 3+2 is the best. Shorter headstock equates to less headstock dive.

I prefer 2 x 3 on a five string. Gives that little bit of extra length to the B string, to avoid full wraps on the post. That’s important to me when I build a 33” scale neck (as I usually do).
That block inlay with the little quarter circle of abalone (or maybe mother of pearl?) is pretty neat, too.
This bassist-on-bassist hate has got to stop!!!
