Well, I don't use pick much, but I may have to if I'm ever going to play Animate by Rush...
I like the G string positioning on the Sterling 5 headstock as opposed to the SR5 headstock
By I think my L2500 headstock is the best

Thanks. I don't play it as much as I should. The upside is when I do it's like NBD.
The wife and I made a run up to the big city today to visit a couple of shops we don't have in town. Neither store opened 'till 1200, but the Guitar Center next door was open, so I texted my wife to tell her where I would be.
I hadn't been in a GC for years, but not much had changed. Looked pretty much the same and there was the obligatory kid in the guitar area "shredding". I went over to the new basses to have a look. I picked up a new Sterling by Music Man four string and was noodling about (ampless) when my wife walked in. She came over to let me know she was there and wandered off.
Just a few minutes later she came over and asked, "Are Sterlings any good?" I said "yeah, they're Music Man's budget brand and aren't bad at all".
"Well, there is a Sterling five-string over in the used section for $280.00. It looks beautiful."
"Oh yeah?"
Now, I have wanted a MM for years, love the tone, the way they play, you guys know. I have also been wanting a five-string for a while, feeling like I wanted to teach this old dawg a new trick.
I plugged it in and played around for a bit and was very impressed with the tone (classic MM) and playability, but there was one question I had...
I said "you aren't teasin' me now, are ya.."
She-Of-The-Tight-Purse-Strings said "NO! It looks like a good deal! If you like it, you should get it."
"Just use your card, we still need to pay off the other one."
Here she is... I pick it up Friday. (Apparently GC has a policy that used stuff has to be in the store for several days to make sure it isn't hot.)
Nothin' too fancy or high-end, but it'll be great for trying to figger out what to do with B string!!

Spector’s on the carpet
purchased the LX5, but not sure to keep it.
Pulled the trigger at Thomann online and did not know it came without the Push/Pull single coil function. The Spector configurations are endless and there is literally no overview about the different models. Well, I am not sure if the single coil selection would fit my taste anyway. But to not have the option is kind of sad.
The build quality is flawless, the wood grain looks awesome. The sound is a little darker than the PJ, but I think that’s because of the additional mass and the different wood. The growl is mindblowing and truly worth to call it a Spector EMG sound. Thumbs up for the Euros, they nailed it damn good. Some guys even prefer it towards the US models, but that is totally subjective.

I wasn't a fan of the blk wht blk pickguard so I did some arts and crafts.
Is it the same bass? It looks like 3 different colors in the pics... (-But 3 nice ones!)
Thank you! Same bass, three different lighting sources. Was having trouble getting the design on the pickguard to show. The bottom right pic IMO is closest to what it looks like in person.
