Handsome! Love the feel of the old Tele baseball bat neck! My fav bass is a Frankenstein telecaster bass (with an added pickup)

Y’all are probably sick of seeing this one, lol. But it’s done. Installed a fresh set of Nordstrand PJ Blades last night, can’t deal with how great they sound!

It’s an aluminum neck made by Robot Graves Industries. I really dig it!!

I had a salesperson at a boutique store try to get me to buy one while I was in college - my broke tucchus certainly couldn't afford it at the time!! But it was an immaculate instrument. I'll probably always regret not being able to leave with it.

I REALLY wasn't expecting to like this ... parts Bass, but I was pleasantly surprised by the tones I got with a little "fiddling" of the knobs/EQ. It's made up of an SX Jazz body w/ a Seymour Duncan MM bridge pickup, a Bartolini J pup in the bridge position, a Warmoth Precision Bass neck w/ pearloid block inlays, a white pearloid pickguard (YUCK, I really don't like white pickguards), a ToneMonster preamp, Gold hardware and Dunlop nickel plated strings 45-105. So I looked around the room, and saw all of these spare parts laying around, and thought, I think I can put together another Bass with these scraps, and now I have another Bass.

Took these for a test run today. I like them all but todays winner is the slant Fury with the Foundation neck.

Looks awesome! What kinda pickups are those? And is that a KSM bridge??
I just swapped out the Babicz bridge on my latest build with a tried & true Kickass.. I need to adjust the string spacing ASAP (can’t find a small enough hex key to adjust with the strings under slight tension lol) but I’m really enjoying the DR Lo-Riders I put on it. First time trying them, digging the tension!

Modified Yamaha BBN5 (paid $200 for it) with Custom Momose Jazz Pickups and Sadowsky P Pickups, Wired passive, Volume Volume Tone (Jazz pickups wired together)
I Really took my time perfecting the pickguards. They took forever but it pays to do it slowly and accurately

Very very happy with the result and IMO it sounds killer, very gritty and punchy!
Yamaha BBN5s are amazing basses. I have 4 of them and they all feel and sound great !! Thanks for looking

Ok - I showed this a little while back. J bass body with Lowe 32 conversion neck. Well decided to make it a fretless and used the Lowe neck on this new one.

MJT body (closet classic) and similar set up to a 50's P.
