They rest in string ferrules on the butt-end of the body. (pictured with my Supersonic also in Firemist Gold Metallic, both by Pat Wilkins) And thank you for your kind words!

My two latest creations.
My tribute to the Duff Mckagan signature (I'm not a fan of rosewood fingerboards) and my tribute to the version two Steve Harris signature.
Nice! The black hardware really works on the Duffman.
That’s Leo showing how he couldn’t play the bass guitar he invented.

Just picked up an Ibanez EHB1000. I think it looks damn good with the black beauties on it.
