I love my Blade very much! I have installed push/pull pot for active and passive option (I run it in passive mode with Sadowsky outboard preamp in most cases) and too much treble is not issue I have but I can feel what you re saying. Infact, I think aguilar preamp is not best thing you should go for as it is very "treble-ish" itself.

Okay, I've posted this here and there, but hey, it's a pic thread! This is my new (ish, been collecting parts for a while!) '57 American Vintage ReIssue/'57 Road Worn Precision Bass. The body is a White Blonde Transparent AVRI with a Road Worn neck. The hardware is a mix of eBay Road Worn "pull-off" parts and aftermarket Fender "relics". It is all Fender.

It now has a genuine Fender Road Worn pickguard, but until I could find one, I bought a black WD, made for Classic 50s/Road Worn basses. I'm torn over which I prefer. The gold is not as shiny as in the flash pic. The pickups are Road Worn Fender, which are the same as used in pre 2008 American standards, 2006+ Highway Ones and Classic 50s basses.

It was a lot of fun collecting the parts, and I learned a lot about Fender parts numbers. It's also already a friend, though the 1.75" neck with the 7.25" radius took about a week to adjust to. My first bass was a '58 P-bass, but it's been gone so long, I can't honestly compare them.
