I still wish to add, at some point, a Roscoe and Warrior to my small collection. The Classic is brand new - just got it last week (had to sell my Basic for it), and I absolutely love it. It looks, feels, and sounds awesome.

Thank you gents. I do love them all! The Tobias is my only 34"er; the Ibby and fretless have the 35" scale. The basses I have are more than I would have ever imagined I wanted or needed, and my bass playing skills definitely have some catching up to do. I could remain very content with them - especially that Tobias - yet I still have the urge/desire to own and play a Roscoe and Warrior - the roscoe primarily for the sound (yet I like how it looks too), and the Warrior primarily for the look (yet I'm sure they sound great too). Since I'm not made of money, I'm probably going to go with used models (5 stringers) whenever I find either one that I like.

Bass just rules....

John that vista is outrageous...as is your bassplaying - just listened to the V.R. mpeg...loved it! How many basstechs do you take to shows, and how much overtime do they rack up tuning and polishing such a massive array of fine lutherie?
What I'm afraid to ask is...what's your rig look like?

thanks dude no bass techs for me, unfortunately. that would imply i actually -made- money playing my music. the only time i made any real dough (paying bills and rent and tuition type dough) playing was when i was playing covers on a 77 jazz bass (like 18 years ago). heh.

they either put a very thin veneer of wood on the top of the pickup case, or they make the case itself out of wood.

How are you liking that new Dano? I'm getting a new bass soon and I was seriously considering that Dano - possibly in the redburst.
