I play the P/J and the J more than any of the others.

How do you like your squier JV? I also have one, and its my main Axe... Never tried, or owned anything comparable... Love it to death!

How are you liking that new Dano? I'm getting a new bass soon and I was seriously considering that Dano - possibly in the redburst.

Thanks - I like it. I haven't had it setup with my string gauge yet, so its a bit heavier tension than I'm used to.

The neck was the most pleasant surprise! Satin smooth, and shaped to die for (well, okay - to be *absolutely perfect*, the neckback could be maybe an extra 1/8th inch deeper).

The frets and the overall construction are very nice! I found no flaws at all.

I do plan on throwing new tuners on it, tho. These little guitar ones are tough to string and to turn.

The bridge is a nice upgrade from the old hunk-o-wood version - but I'm not thrilled with the individual saddle adjustment screw placement being right under the strings (such that you'll need to slack the strings way up in order to get at the screw). Plus, its of the loosen-the-screw, then manually-move-the-saddle, then re-tighten-the-screw method of adjustment. I may replace it with a more standard fenderish bridge.

The pickups are kinda weak, individually, to me - but I kinda knew that going in. Middle position is stronger, but noisier, too. (Not sure if its worth it to search for lipstick upgrades or someone who does re-winds) The sound is a little thump-ey, maybe - but I should reserve judgment until I get new strings on it.

oh, and of course, its very lightweight.
