heh, yeah, that is a pretty cool shape. i sorta like some of those gumby-type body styles.

maybe you don't like mine as much because they're 7's/8's. the wider necks do change the whole vibe of the instrument from 4's and 5's.

thanks. there's actually 103 - the two musicman pup-equipped basses on the floor are 8 strings, and don't forget the 10 strings on the ric .

not pictured are my 77 jazz, my 4001, my pedulla fretless, and my first bass, a kramer duke, so that's 16 more. heh. haven't played any of them for over 15 years, so they don't qualify for the pic .

mine actually had "alien" stamped on it. i've been told by some folks it may be a hondo, but it certainly looks exactly like every other kramer duke i've seen (granted not that many). i made it fretless about 20 years ago (ripped out the frets and painted the board, very diy lol), before i got my pedulla.

Does that have an aluminum neck and an ebonite or synthetic fingerboard? I know the Alien knock-offs did not have an aluminum neck. However, that head piece looks identical to the Dukes' and it looks like yours also has the Schaller humbucker, tuners, and roller bridge? Regardless, you have my favorite collection of basses!!! (Except maybe PJ Rubal!)

yeah, the neck is aluminum, and it's hard to adjust. like, "i don't know how to adjust it" hard, although i haven't tried to in 20 years.

I remember we voted on which bass you were going to give a review on, and as far as I remember it ended up being the Ritter - did you ever make that review, and could you possibly link to it? I searched for it a while back with no luck.
