Vorago,

What is the point of the anti-protestors? This isn't really getting covered in the US. After you told me about it I searched the major news agencies and found scant more than a blog post.

Two pictures I made for Maak's Spirit, a kinda famous Belgian world-Jazz band.

Afterwards it was suddenly decided to make bandpics too! I've posed enough in bandpics to know that making a good bandpic is extremely difficult.

I hope they like it

Here's two live shots from the same afternoon...I really need a 35 mm lens

Been playing around with my camera a bit recently, here's a close-up shot of my ukulele:

It was sunny for the first time in a while, so when I got back from uni I ran to the back garden and took a few photos of the sunset:

EDIT - IMG tagging wasn't working for some reason but if anyone could take a few mins and have a quick ganders I'd appreciate it! :)

Flickr is doing weird with the img tags, haven't figured it out myself yet.

One of the portraits they made for Maaks Spirit, a Belgian World-Jazz band.

It was completely overcast and these were the pretty much the first portraits I made ever (except for the occasional portrait of my gf).

I made the best of it, I learned a lot but there's A LOT of room for improvement.

Vorago - honestly I don't give a lot of critiques of your work because I feel it's a bit above my pedigree!!

I have a lot more experience shooting people in color and so I feel much better suited to talk about those kinds of pics. I like your pics a lot but I will start trying to look at them with a more critical eye. Just keep in mind that when I critique them I'll be doing it with humility!

This guy could use some fill light on his left side face and around his eyes which are darkened by shadow (unless that's the specific look you were going for). A piece of white paper or board as reflector might have been sufficient.

Well if it makes you happy I can point out that this one

has the crop not so well centered, unless ofc it was wanted :)

That was my favorite of the three!
