Here are a couple from my last trip to Maine.

Ahhh, you reminded me of Maine. :hyper:

Wow. You guys are great photographers. I'm impressed with the artistry and technique of the photos posted. I've wanted to get into photography for quite some time now, but I want to do it when I know I can devote sufficient time to learning. What cameras and lenses do you guys/girls use?

I was in the backyard and looked up and saw this unusually lighted cloud formation that looked like a midair explosion. I only had time enough before it went away to just use my BlackBerry to take the pic, so it is not too crisp. I thought I would post it anyway.

The pics in this thread are awesome by the way and needs to be bumped.

Took this photo in the painted desert. This Raven followed me for a couple of miles...I ended up tattooing it on my back a couple of years later. A very intense experience.

I'm into it as a hobby. Although I have a couple of digitals, I like old 35mm equipment, because much of it is WAY affordable these days, and in its day, it was great quality.

This was taken a few days ago with an old 1970's Canon F1n and a Canon FD 35mm F2 lens. The actual print is a bit sharper than this digital image.

Is this Golden Gate? I can't tell, but if so, my dad is there, and possibly even in this pic (so to speak of course).

Nothing artistic about this photo, but interesting to me. These are the graves of Dick Hickock and Perry Smith, the two killers that Truman Capote wrote "In Cold Blood" about. They were hanged for the murders at Lansing, KS Penitentiary and buried in Lansing at Mount Muncie Cemetery.
