Point of focus is the title, "New England." Notice how the word "New" is in focus, but the last few letters of the word "England" are beginning to drift out of focus.

Books on Edinburgh and Glasgow? All you need is one page saying "Don't go there" :p

I quite fancy getting a lensbaby kit when I finally pickup an SLR, some pretty funky effects :)

Nope, just a pretty basic Nikkor 50 mm f1.8 lens on a Nikon FE2.

And there's a UV filter in front of it.

I'd like to get a quality 35 mm f1.8 lens, but those are kinda pricey on the market.

I ask because I notice so little contrast between the sand and the sky in photo. Looks like a cloudy day but a Yellow 2 filter can help with that by darkening blue skys. ;) Just a little tip. When I shot b&w 35mm,...the Yellow filter never came off my camera.

Other colored filters can help in other facets but the Yellow 2 is the only I ever used.

I think this might be the best pic i've ever taken. Little Miss WoT, Berwick upon Tweed town walls yesterday:

I have a request.

I totally love this picture, and would like to share it with a friend. I'm not looking for a frameable resolution, this resolution is fine for my purposes, but it's such a great picture, I'd appreciate a copy with yourself properly credited in the image metadata. Otherwise if a full resolution picture is available, I'd like to know if you'd consider selling a copy... maybe with a watermark signature or something in the corner... whatever you'd consider appropriate.

I've got a Nikon D5000 on the way so maybe I'll be able to add something interesting to this thread at some point. Not that a good camera makes you a good photographer but I think I have an OK eye for setting up a photo sometimes.
