Yea was not a ltd edition....
Just a regular model in the fortress line up...
but I am pretty sure only 50 with 2teks rolled out of germany....then 2tek stopped production of the bridge and warwick finished up their run of 1996 flashbacks using their normal 2 pc bridge.

making the 2tek models much harder to find.

some people love the 2tek....some people hate it I am sure.
Some people love the flashback....others hate it ....and find it ugly...

personally...I am just interested in finding out for myself...hahaha!

Well, its just got here about an hour ago. I couldn't keep my hands off of it long enough to take the pics It is in a little rougher condition than I expected, but thats ok because I am going to play the hell out of it!! This bass plays like a dream. By far the best neck on a Wick I have ever played. The bass is also very light, especially for a Wick. Ok... thats all you get for now I have a new bass to play!

My First Wick....

Yesterday I scored a very rare black marble stone finish standard Corvette, made in 1996.

I got a response from Hans Peter Wilfer at warwick.de via email to my serial number request. As stated there were only 50 to 60 units produced with this finish. Quite rare were his exact words.
It's almost new and not a scratch to be found. Very little fret wear or crowning, no dead spots, no buzz. Just tone, growly and smooth as buttah!

I bought this because the neck was amazing, and the finish intrigued me. Smooth skinny and nothing like any of the Warwick's I had picked up prior. That, and I scored a great price on it.

I'm glad you picked this up from GC. Everytime I got on their used site and this popped up under "warwick" search... I was ever so tempted!!! It looks better in your photos, and I'm glad a TB'er got to love this guy!!!

Thanks! I was looking for a used Wick and this one popped up. I'm not sure how long it was up there. The only problem it has is the jack needs to be replaced, and the Warwick straplocks are going to go. Other than that it is amazing! I hope to have some audio clips soon.

I decided to ditch my 5-strings and simplify things. All i have now is my 76 P-bass (my baby), Warwick Corvette std 4 active from 96( first proper bass) and soon to be mine is a beautiful Thumb neck-thru 4 from 98. Gutted out and with passive Barts-just vol/vol/ tone. Pics coming soon!
