Hey Warwick fans, short one:

Soapbars or singlecoils on a Streamer?

I have soapbars on mine (MEC), but have dealed with J singlecoils the last 10 years on other basses. I'd wish to cut a little bit more through the mix in the mids. Should I order my next one with singlecoils (J type).

Chris is first going to remove the wax using naptha. The body will then get sanded and dings and dents removed. These are the before. Will post the afters in a couple of weeks:D

Exactly same config and Delano upgrade here (with John East preamp) and WOW superb bass became even more expressive and fundamental sounding (deep, authoritative, cutting through bones). Love SSI.:hyper::bassist:

Peace bass brethren,

New to the forum and got a quick question. I've wanted a thumb since I was 14 and i finally found myself in a position to get a BO5. So I go hands on with it at londons bass gallery and yes it was as beautiful to play and sounding as I recalled but i tried a streamer 5 $$ BO which just sat for me. That feeling hit where I could close my eyes and my feet hand would decide to surprise me with a sweet run. So after some consideration and another visit or two I followed instinct and secured the streamer and will be picking her up on Monday.

My question to the heads that know the world o Warwick is why are here hardly any of the streamer $$s about?? Plenty of corvettes. Is it just that there were less manufactured and if so why? Or we're they simply not as popular?

(ok that wasn't so quick lol)

Sweet. I worked at a Guitar Center that bought a guy's bass collection a couple of years ago; one of the basses he sold was a 4str Vampyre in a sort of umber/dried blood stain. It played and sounded amazing and I liked the looks of it. I know the appearance is a bit of a "love it or hate it", I guess I fall into the "love it" camp!

And my bass before his, and Chris-Got-Funk before mine ;)

That bass has a pretty big history around here :)

I love zebra wood ...my Alembic has a zebra wood top and mahogany body ( back).
In your photo yours looks like it could be solid Zebra wood ?? The wood looks to wrap around the edges???
I know warwick often has a swamp ash body ( back ) with only the front being the fancy woods....

You say your thumb is heavy?
I know my 2006 thumb LE dirty blonde is the smallest and lightest bass in my collection. Super small and light.
Weird yours is heavy? maybe the wood?

Well, a heartfelt thanks to you guys for putting the Mojo in that bad boy! You guys played the heck out out of it, and thats great. I think its outstanding that the bass was used hard, yet the frets and fretboard are in fantastic condition. Playability is amazing. I just got the word that the finish work is complete. I got a sneak peek, via cell phone, and it looks really good. Proper pictures coming soon.:) Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to you guys and gals. Hoping that 2012 brings us some good times and brings our soldiers home to stay.
