My current love affair just before I took her home

99 FNA 5vr spotless omg! Little over 1/2 the weight of the 2005 bubinga vette I used to own too (7.6 lbs vs 12+) but man alive of that vette didn't have infinite sustain at stage volume !!! I got it in a straight trade for a Lakland skyline 55-02 :)

Ahoy!
Just wanted to share my Warwick Corvette ProLine from 1994.
The Wenge neck is about the most comfortable neck i've played so far. I'm in love :) :hyper:

Anyway, bass porn:

Hey guys, does anyone know where one can order a standard series model? You know, the new series being made in Korea? I really like the look of the standard corvettes, but I cant find pricing info on them anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Im torn between a 'vette 6 and another bass. I've tried the other one and liked it, and the price isn't bad. I've played a few wicks that were pretty good, but I'd like to get an idea of price if at all possible. Thanks in advance.

It's going to be a while between posts, but I wanted to share a refin project with you all. The bass is a 1991 Streamer Stage I. I got the bass from our very own Jon Kim. He has owned a lot of Warwicks in his young life. The bass plays like I died and went to bass heaven. A place where your action is sublimely low and yet does not buzz. Simply amazing playability. I had a set of Delano pickups installed and that kicked it into I will never sell this bass, ever. With that in mind I wanted to make it a little more "mine". That, and the body was worn in a few places. I am blessed to have as a friend one of the best guitar finishers in the country. Chris Bavaria of Bavaria finishing worked at Paul Reed Smith for 17 years before opening up his own shop. After consulting with Chris I decided on a color. Gretsch orange. Chris is first going to remove the wax using naptha. The body will then get sanded and dings and dents removed. These are the before. Will post the afters in a couple of weeks:D

I have SCORED one of my "Must have basses before I die" Basses! (2 actually if you count my Alembic Triple-Omega!) But I am in the process of taking possession on a '92 Dolphin Pro I. (Yep, the one currently here in the TB Classifieds)My Next acquisition is Hopefully an NT Katana or a Streamer Stage I...

And My adoring Wife found a Katana and Bought it for me! :hyper: It's a Natural 2006 Closet Queen. I guess she got it for <$1K too...

It was strung with HEAVY Gauge Flats. Which sounded surprisingly good. I set it up to my likings, and strapped on a set of TI Jazz Flats in Med Gauge. Surprisingly Better! I guess the Maple "SNAP" with the low tension flats is a good combo. It's hard to put this bass down. Damn! If I keep this up I'll be DEAD in no time! :hiding:

First time writing on here. I have a Warwick rock bass double buck with passive pickups and was wondering if it's possible to change to active pickups? If Anyone has any info it would be helpful. Thanks

Colonel, I will be eternally grateful to you both. I had been waiting for this bass for twenty years. I just did not know it:). Will definitely post a video clip when it's all back together again. Colonel, where you the original owner? If you are, you played the heck out of it:bassist::)

Not original, from what I understand the SSI has quite a colorful past. But all that contribute to the aura and enigma!
