yep that's the one...
One big ole fat 15 in the middle and 4 tens surrounding it.
I thought the same thing...
But figured if Mesa did it and offers it they must have figured out a way to have it work together hassle free.
Maybe not???
Most likely will either go with the 410 Mesa cab and maybe one day add to it? Or just go for the 810 and get it over with.
Need pay for these new basses first and get through the insanely costly holiday hooplah, thennnn get working on offing my GK stuff and putting together the remains of the Mesa costs...

I found my sound after many years of experimentation. I finally settled on Trace Elliot. I use an old 4x10" with a horn paired with a 1x18". It's all I ever wanted, lol. I do still crave the SWR Henry 8x8. I just found one locally for $600. I've been buying way too much gear to justify getting it right now, lol. -Luke

Wish the 8x8 was here local to where I live...hahaha!!
But shipping cabs sucks.
I had UPS take some chunks out of the Hartke 810XL that shipped to me in NY from Florida.
Cost a bunch for shipping as well.
Was almost worth it all, to watch the little UPS driver TRYING to hump that huge box up my driveway however....LMAO :)

I think I might even consider the Mesa PH412 as a cab , rather than go back into the 810's or even the 610's?
I dunno? too many things out there to consider....ei yi yi.

Tough one. I love the woods and tone of the $$, but the neck on the $$ 5 string is massive. At least on the one I tried.

Don't know enough about the hot rod to given an informed opinion :D

I am a fan of the look of the limited edition Hot Rod corvette as well.
Been wanting one for awhile...Since they came out in 2005 really...:D
Hard to find in mint shape.
I JUST found one...a mint 4 string...I want it big time.
But it is like $1,500 which is a bit high. And timing is bad due to holiday spending ahead :(

Plus I am not sure the double P pup set up will deliver the "Warwick" sounds as much as the other Wicks?
Never heard one?

Great Tone = Warwick and Warwick = Great Tone. I wouldn't get too caught up in specific woods. True, woods do sound different, but over the years Warwick has used so many combinations for necks, bodies, fingerboards, pick ups and electronics that I don't think it is fair or accurate to say that one sounds "better" or "more like a Warwick". If it feels good, looks good and gives you the tone you're after what's not to like?

I tried it a few years back with some DR flats. Sounded fine, but the higher tension (I usually string up with hi-beams or sunbeams) felt strange and I think the flats took out too much high end and didn't compliment the overall character of the thumb. I also tried some half/ground wounds with some better results, though ultimately I went back to the DR roundwounds and put the flats on a different bass.

I visited the NYC shop last week and even though the sign said "by appointment only" the dude said "sure, try any bass you want"...some of the $6000 basses were pretty nice. And the Hellborg amp was sweet. They even let me get some informal price quotes on custom basses...it was a fun 30 minutes.

Hey guys, does anyone know where one can order a standard series model? You know, the new series being made in Korea? I really like the look of the standard corvettes, but I cant find pricing info on them anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Im torn between a 'vette 6 and another bass. I've tried the other one and liked it, and the price isn't bad. I've played a few wicks that were pretty good, but I'd like to get an idea of price if at all possible. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure for certain, but I'd imagine any of the Warwick dealers listed on their site should be able to sort one out for you :)
