if you ever want to try out my pnut to feel the difference let me know. I can probsbly meet you at glen burnie gc one day. I go there often as they have some great used gear time to time

yea only gripe about the older vintage wicks is i wish they had a 3 band pre as like to boost mids on my warwick

The '91 SSI is the newest addition... tonally, it isn't everything I want, but the wheels are turning with some ideas on ways to upgrade the pups and pre. Anyone have some suggestions? I am leaning towards the bartolini/modern sound, similar to the Roscoe I just traded; however, growl is still a must. :bassist::hyper::bassist:

Nice set of 'wicks!

For preamp suggestions, I just put a Mike Pope Flexcore preamp into one of my Corvette's, and it sounds very good. The options and tonal range of that pre is ridiculous. I've heard other 'wicks that had an Audere pre and another that had an Aggie OBP-3, and both sounded fantastic.

What is going on on the back of these headstocks, I have never seen that before, and why would you do that

Thanks! It just arrived to me in sunny SC from sunny CA. I need to make a few tweaks, but she'll be my new go-to bass. Great balance, light weight, tone for days - and just "broken-in" enough that I won't be too worried about taking her out!

Did you buy it from GC's used selection? Cause if it came from Hollywood you got this for a STEAL!!!!!! Major congrats! I've been tempted to pick it up, but REALLY had no need. Glad to see another TB'er picked up this killer bass for a killer cost!

That's right! I had been in contact with the original owner when he had it posted on CL, but he didn't want to ship it. I tracked it at GC for several weeks, made an offer that I thought would be refused, but was thrilled they accepted. Unfortunately, they misplaced the HSC...Honestly, I don't think they realized what they had. Then again, non-Fender clones don't seem to be too hot right now, either. Maybe they needed the wall space? Anyway, I'm thrilled. I first played one back in '95/'96 when they first came out and fell in love. I have a few other basses that I play and love, but I've always wanted a Streamer.
