I'm looking at photos of a 2005 Corvette Standard I'm interested in. It has the Dynamic Correction MEC pickups with silver lettering. He claims this is an active bass. Did Warwick use an active preamp with passive pickups at this time?

They did make an active corvette
but i don't think it used the dynamic correction pickups. those are passive.
the active model should have gold lettering on the pickups, right?
Typically, yes. The giveaway would be the presence/lack of concentric knobs near the back of the body. If only 3 knobs, it's passive. If 4, it's active.
