I have never played one out (just in a GC), but I must say, that guitar is SUPER versatile. Its like a taste off many different pickup configurations in one setup.

Hopefully someone else will chime in here. I just wanted to give you an inexpert thumbs up!

Oh, and do a search on the Warwick forum for the Corvette $$. Many, many threads about that guitar...

I currently own a 2000 corvette STD bubinga. Bought it used for $600. Went to GC this weekend to find a used Corvette STD fretless for $600. I put it on layaway :) can't wait to bring it home and stand it next to the fretted

So I emailed Warwick to get the factory specs on my '96 Streamer and was surprised to get a response back within about 3 hours from none other than Hans Peter Wilfer! He was kind enough to answer some follow up questions, too. It's great to see that even though the company has expanded, he's still very much in touch with the players.

Very cool, care to share the info with the rest of the class? I'm always up for new/old info straight out of the mouth of Hans!!!

Nothing too significant to report - he just provided some details on the build specs and build location of my new (well, new to me) streamer. I mentioned that I also have a '94 Thumb NT...he thanked me for my loyalty and support and said that the hoped to "win me" for a new model Warwick in the future. I guess he'd prefer that I stop trolling the used market!

Question: Has anyone added fingerboard inlays to their Warwicks? My '94 Thumb has some great custom shop brass/MOP dot inlays and my other basses have dots, too. My Streamer appears naked by comparison, though I do like the look of a clean fingerboard. However, I've contacted a couple of builders who could put in some great wood blocks or dots...thoughts?

personally, i like having a blank board, but maybe a custom inlay at the bottom of the fretboard near the body would be cool. even something simple like a 12th fret name plate would be nice to proclaim ownership, lol.

I know where you're coming from but I'd love to find a place here in the US that does LEDs or something. My SSI could use some. Anyone know of a place and can share thier website.

I would assume those are just glow in the dark stickers? Like we all had as kids that "charge" from the lights, so when you turned off the lights, the stars on your ceiling would glow...until they inevitably fell down onto you while you slept.
