He has a feedback rating of +1 from this forum and I haven't asked yet about the Warwick forum... anybody have an idea of international shipping rates to Minsk, Belarus?

If the USPS ships there, it'll be around $200 for the upgraded tracking adn insurance. IME, you can expect to double that, give or take a few dollars, for the other carriers.

I think itll be cheaper taking the neck off and shipping it in a smaller box if possible. Also going through USPS just get an estimate box size and you can get a quote on usps.gov.
They have flat rates for international. Should be around $75-150

I would ship DHL just because its a privately owned company and I always had better experience with them. May cost a bit more but cheaper than ups or fedex

i proudly played Lakland 5 strings exclusively for about the last 6 or 7 years....Laklands are great basses and i love them, last week i bought a Nirvana black Warwick Corvette standard 5 string german made from a fellow TBer. a week later (today)i have added another German made Corvette standard Ash. after playing the wick for a few days and one band rehearsal i am totally in love with this instrument. WARICKS are incredible!! posting pics soon!

Picked up my aforementioned Thumb 98 BO-4 & SPANKED her nicely. She wanted more, I gave it to her. What I want to do to this bass could get me arrested in the states or make a few bucks in Thailand.

I am going to upgrade the pickups on my Warwick FNA Jazzman Fretless. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. I have read through a number of the threads already so I am fairly clear but just want any feedback I can get.

I had a very nice Stambaugh fretless 4- which prompted me to go w/the same PUs(Barts)on a Stammie 7 fretless- fully passive, VERY expressive. I'd likely lean toward Barts for any fretless. I am also very much a Warwick man.

Agreed. I have Bart pups and pre in my fretless 6er, and it has a great warm fretless sound. If you want a more aggressive or Les Claypool-ly sound, EMGs will do the trick for you.

The '91 SSI is the newest addition... tonally, it isn't everything I want, but the wheels are turning with some ideas on ways to upgrade the pups and pre. Anyone have some suggestions? I am leaning towards the bartolini/modern sound, similar to the Roscoe I just traded; however, growl is still a must.

The CT is a good bit heavier, and has a slightly different shape (which I am attributing to the difference in build eras, not BO vs. NT). I do think a new set of string will help the top end sparkle on the SSI, but right now it is VERY woody sounding with a nice low/mid (vintage even) quality. The CT's weight (call me weird) is actually a little more attractive to me, but the neck is thicker, front to back. The SSI is growing on me, but I had been lusting over a quality NT Warwick for so long that I was expecting the second coming upon its arrival... alas, my socks ramained unblown, and my search for "The One" continues.

Also, the controls are layed out exactly the same (w/o a mid control).
