The Official Warwick Club (Part 6)

I bought my $$ used and it has a little wear, but i just see it as character. Also yours looks stunning, might have too source some gold hardware for mine

Cool. Yeah I like when instruments have been used. Gives them some mojo. Now I just have to put my own mojo to it:-)
Nice basses you got too. Love the gold hardware on mine. Looks great with the black.
Best regards/Daniel

Can anyone recommend a hard case for my Corvette Standard 6 Bubinga?

JFYI, this is the Korea version. The case that came with it, a Rock Bag is really horrible. It even has a hole where the end pin meets the bag.

I can't complain since this thing was about 500 US Dollars and it's new, they had it lying in the store for a few years. The manager even put brand new string on it for me.

Also the neck is as straight as it can be with a slight bow. The thing is perfect.

Anyway is there a hard case that exists for this thing?

Thanks for all info and advice in advance.

'94 Warwick Corvette Proline 6 here. :)

First 'wick was a 2002 Corvette standard in 2002, then a Corvette standard 5 string in 2012, went Alembic for a little while, and picked this beauty up a few weeks ago! IMG_0297.jpgIMG_0298.jpg

Anyone have the Warwick rep contact info for the US? I had one named Dan but no longer there it apprears. I have a broken tuner issue again and want to get it replaced AGAIN! argg. Love my WW basses though.
I'm not sure who the rep is, but I also have a problem with my Corvette 4-string tuners (broken bushings on all 4 tuners), and I have ordered a set of Hipshot Ultralites to replace them. They should be in at the end of the week, and according to posts on other threads here, they are a direct-fit replacement. I ordered the HB6Y 3/8" gotoh-style tuner set. I'll let you know how they fit when I get them in.

If you want to stay with the Warwick-branded tuners, The Bass Place in Arizona sells replacement Warwick tuners online.

Forgive me if this has been talked about before. I bought a Chinese made rockbass star bass 5 about a month ago, while I'm mostly very pleased with it, after playing with it awhile I think either the pots are junk or not wired right. Both the volume and tone pots may as well be switches, as they are either all the way open or all the way closed with a lot useless play in between. Is this a known thing, or did I just get a electronically challenged one?

I received my Hipshots this afternoon and installed them with just a minor issue. The tiny allen screws that hold the tuner stem to the body need to be removed to reverse their orientation for the treble-side tuners. I stripped a couple of the 1/16" screws because they are cranked right down tightly. I was able to swap the other 2, however, so it wasn't a big deal. Once that was taken care of, I was able to install them in about 15 minutes. They feel much more solid, and now the posts don't move. Win!

Hi all Warwickers :)
this is my entry in the Club ;)

Transformation of an Warwick RB Corvette 5 string 2007 into an Custom Home Made Corvette 5 BO :D

when i had buyed this Vette last month it was a very unimpressive and mousy:
an fugly honey violin ultra thick polycoat
qlpg3gjw.jpg

i decided to strip her completly down and change the HArdware, Headstock etc. etc.

i was very astonished, that after ripping the thick polycoat off, that under the glossy was not Alder, like common Rockbasses Vettes, but i have found a very nice grained swamp ash and only 2 bodyparts.
So after processing the whole body with an wire-wheel and electric drill, several layers of stain, several layers of Danish Oil, several layers of Bees-Wax, veneering the Headstock, changing all the Hardware to Gold, this Beauty is Born:

Awesome refin, the headstock veneer looks great! That bass is a beauty, congrats mate!

Here's my baby. A '97 Fortress One in purple. Have had her about 10 years now and love her more with each new set of strings. I have been wanting to refinish her to some type of light stain but just lose the heart. Like a wife with a big 'ol mole on her forehead, ya just learn to love it.......but not stare directly at it.

I've been thinking about getting one of those.
How do you find it, I mean do you gig with it, under what conditions etc, or just for rehearsal/practice space etc?

I'm looking for a small coffee shop/bar type combo, for jazz/soft rock, with a drummer who can play quietly, one guitarist and a singer, and wondered if this would fit the bill. What do you think?

Im 17, I dont have a band or had any gigs with it. My bass teacher is a Warwick endorser, he was the one who recommended this amp. From what he told me the BC80 was enough if I eventually got into a full garage band but for if I ever wanted to do bar/local nightclub (not very big) gigs Id need the BC150. From what he said about the 150 it can drown out a heavy drummer on a garage band (I jumped to the 150 so I wouldnt have to buy 2 amps). On my own, Ive never even got the volume close to half and it already got deafening high. As you can see in the picture the volume is extremely low and if the doors are open my parents can hear me across the house.

Hope this helps. Sorry for not being able to give you my personal experience when it comes to band situations. If youve got any other questions Ill try to answer them as best as I can.
