From what he said about the 150 it can drown out a heavy drummer on a garage band (I jumped to the 150 so I wouldnt have to buy 2 amps). On my own, Ive never even got the volume close to half and it already got deafening high. As you can see in the picture the volume is extremely low and if the doors are open my parents can hear me across the house.

Thanks for your answer. From what your teacher says, it sounds like it's probably enough for me.
I've played through one, and like the sound, so I think I'll pull the trigger.

At 17, you've got a lot of bass playing years yet to come. It's good that you're taking lessons. I wish I'd been able to at your age. All the best!

I used mine in for band practice with a heavy handed drummer, a guitar player, keys and a singer (keys sang back up) in a medium size room (10mx 10m) and never had to crank it past 2 oclock.
I never used it for a gig , but I'd be more that happy to take it to a small to medium gig. It's also got an aux input and headphone out, so it's great for silent practise.

I love that Stealth Look! I have an SSI with Pewter / Satin hardware that I'm considering swapping out with my Thumb BN-5, which has Black of course! The Pewter HW would look pretty good on the Thumb as well...
