The one that got away.

I sold a Modulus Q5 not too long ago. I wasn't playing it at the time, but I miss it's tone a lot right now.

I've been trying to find another one, but they're kinda rare as it is, and I only want one with EMGs, a truss rod, and a top/color that's not too crazy. I'd want black hardware too, but I can swap that myself.

I collect big hair Kramer guitars. When grunge hit and no one would touch them I bought many beauties. I had a nice Kramer Pacer pink flip flop finish. It was lost to me during a dark period of my life. Last time I saw it, it was still hanging in the pawn shop years later. Thought about getting it back, but have moved on to 4 strings plus I still have lots of other beauties to be happy with.

Had a brand new Ray 34 Sunburst that I only had for a few months, but had to sell it because the wife needed a minor medical procedure that was not covered by insurance. Come to think of it, I never did get all that attached to that bass, too twangy for me, but still it was a bummer to have to let it go so soon.

The one I truly rue letting go was an '02 Mexican Precision I'd picked up used from GC. I already had my main axe, a '94 P-bass that is my baby, but picked up this Midnight Wine beauty so I could have one P with rounds and one with flats. This was at the tail end of the economic crash, and I had to let go of a LOT of nice things, and that '02 P was one of them. That one was so well-built and solid that a friend of mine commented that it was as good as some Americans he had owned/played. But the older P was my first, and the moment I held I felt as if it were made specifically for my hands, and I'll never let that one go. So I had to give up a primo sample of a mid-level bass. And boy do I miss it!

I have owned a lot of basses in my time, and typically keep between 15-20 at any given time. i used to keep a lot more, but I had to sell most of my collection due to financial issues and a divorce. I have gotten most of the ones that I want back (not the exact bass but a similar model) except for a few. The one that I really miss and has been on my list for quite some time is a transparent white NYC Sadowsky 5-string standard with a maple neck. That thing was amazing and I wish I had it back. Still looking for something similar.

I got the Fender Custom shop and the Fodera back though!

No regrets but there have been some deals I missed out on because I did not pull the trigger soon enough. One in particular years ago was a 90's Korean made Fender Precision being sold locally on CL for $50. It was all good and legit too so naturally it did not last long after I briefly hesitated...should of known.

But as for something I sold, my 1998 MIM Fender Precision Standard, white on white with rosewood neck...had to let her go at the time because I needed the money more but man I would pay double what I got just to have it back.
