The perfect strings...have you found yours?

Dean Markley Super Round Bass Guitar String.
The last time I used them was around 2010. Great string. Was advertised as a version or close to the Roto's but they didnt sound like them. Were Fat and Punchy. Didnt have excessive high but a sweet high end and lasted. great all around finger/slap bass string.
Now DR Sunbeam, High and Fat Beam. Flats TI 344.

indeed. On my side v7 2nd gen fretless and my ibby 2600 premium—- that is my string. In fact I almost dumped the ibby until I tried the rotos. Boom the ibby woke up.

ironically, on my fender jazz with Duncan bass line pups GHS Boomers are the bomb. The rotos don’t quite fit the sound needs for that bass.

Funny but the rotos were wonderful on my PJ fender with stock P and basslines J. I swapped the stock P to basslines and it became funny. Same like yours.

Strings are my weakness. I love to swap them around as the mood strikes me in order to dial in certain sounds on my basses. That being said, here are some of my top picks :
- FLATS: TI Jazz Flats, Dogal Vintage, Dogal Jaco, La Bella LTF
- ROUNDS: Tenorio Pure Nickel, DR Sunbeams, DR Lo Rider Nickels, DR Fat Beams, Pyramid Pure Nickel
- TAPES: Pyramid Tapewounds
