Yes! Potato chip bags are the worst.
My wife will have bacon frying, the vent hood fan on, water running, and the TV blasting and get annoyed because I couldn't understand what she was saying.

Stepping out the front door is terrible!

I really owe it to all of us to get these damned things adjusted.
 
The engines of larger airplanes have adjustable propellers, the angle of the blades on each engine can be controlled by the pilot. Feathering is done when a engine fails, to increase the glide of the plane, the propellers are turned into the wind to decrease drag.
It is also used like gears. on takeoff, they use a low pitch. When cruising, they use a higher pitch.
I flew air crew in Lockheed Super Constellations. We had a saying about takeoff:
"Full rich, low pitch, balls to the wall, bye ya'll!"
Full rich means a rich fuel mixture. Low pitch means the blades of the props are angled to bite into the air better, balls to the wall means the throttles are pushed all the way open. The handles on the throttles were round balls, much like a pool ball.

Why does it make a difference what type of propulsion it is? I’m pretty sure that a twin engine plane can fly on just one engine.

By the way, my father likes to tell the story of when he was in the army he trained to be a control tower operator. One day in 1945, after the war in Europe had ended, he was working in the tower in Frankfort Germany when they got a distress call from a pilot that was coming in on one engine. It turned out to be a single engine plane.

I don’t know how true the story was, but it made him happy to tell it.
Propulsion type doesn't matter. Because the two or more engines may not be turning at the same rpm, the pilots have the ability to trim the aircraft so it flies straight. This, however, creates additional drag. They can also adjust the throttles to get the plane flying straight with little or no trim.
