Could be betta @5StringBlues . On the 28 mile drive in to work my charging light came on. At the 6ish mile mark...

Off went the radio, the heater, the heated seats, the heated steering wheel and the rear window defroster.

On went the sphincter clinching as I drove in to work with the necessary lights on as it's dark at 5 am around these parts.

oy...

So how'd this turn out?

So, took it in for a diagnostic. It acted just fine, save it showed every light on the panel had tripped ( ABS - Traction control - Tire warning etc ) But none had codes, just iluminated. They did a reset and it seems all is good.

I'm glad they think so, electrical gremlins irritate the hell out of me. It's hard to trust a car, especially a modern one so reliant on it's electrics, with a random, unknown snafu. The tech had zero ideas why it would have happened.

I drove it in this morning and all was good. Of course, I drove in the slow lane the entire way so if it went catiwampus I could pull off. . .

Glad it didn't become a wallet drainer!

Yet.

Electrical gremlins are the most expensive kind.

Damn skippy.

When I get thru with the current "what am I doing with my life" phase, (school? job? keep playing music? ) the plan is to go backwards.

60's VW convertible, fully restored. Wind down windows, nothing electric, no computer.

Air conditioner added. No AC in Houston during the summer? No way!
