I had a college instructor who admitted using marjijuana.
I had a college prof whom I suspected of herbal recreation. On my way home one night, I saw her very distinctive car pulled over on the side of the road in a rougher part of town. I stopped to see if she'd broken down, but she wasn't in her car, and didn't respond when I called out her name. Looking around, I noticed that the spot where her car happened to be was across the road from a house known locally as a "distribution hub. "

The next day, I saw her on campus, and said, "Oh hey! I'm glad you're here. I thought your car might have broken down on [so-and-so] road last night." :woot:

She went wide-eyed with shock. "What??" she said, "That wasn't my car!" :wideyed:

"Really?" I said, "Sure looked like it. Same make, model, and color, and that decorative front plate you have. Oh, and the faculty parking permit."

"No..." she said slowly, and with some significance, "That... was not... my car." :cautious:

I just smiled, and said, "Okay." :D

It was totally her car. :roflmao:

Beats the other explanation:

Yeah, I was there to be murdered, but it was late and I had an early meeting...

Yeah, I was there to be murdered...
A distinct possibility in that part of town. :dead:

She wasn't the type to seek out (or provide) "temporary leisure companionship," so a supply run was pretty much the only explanation that fit. I mostly just found it amusing that her reply was the specific, "That wasn't my car," as opposed to a more general, "No, I wasn't in that area," etc.

No judgement, of course. (But totally her car.) :roflmao:

Educators are, after all, only human. Here are a few stories from my life:

I took a one semester piano class in college. My prof was an old Swedish guy. He smoked heavily and always reeked of tobacco. He and we students wore headsets during class. He would communicate with us one at a time so that he could listen to our playing, instruct us, etc. One day he said to me (over the headset), "Would you like to come to my place some night for a steak dinner? I never ask the girls." Not wanting to piss him off I think my reply was something like. "I don't know". He never came on to me again. I had no problem with him being gay (to each his/her own), but I DID feel harassed. Nonetheless, I received a B+ for the class.

I'm not Catholic but my ex was, so my three kids all went to a Catholic grade school. The health / phys ed teacher there was loved and respected by all. One day he was arrested for having filmed himself having sex with women in his own home without their knowledge, and for other porn-related charges. He was released and soon after loaded his car with containers of gasoline and drove full speed into a railroad overpass. The gas did not explode but he was killed instantly. My daughter still gets choked up talking about this.

I gotta say, though, that the majority of my educators have been great people. I practically worship some of my early grade school teachers; they almost seem like giants to me.

....

Oh perleeeease!................

I admit asking the police to pick up the contraband was not well thought-out; they have more urgent business. But I was in a bit of a state, and afraid the seed could fall into the hands of one of my nephew's friends....The little crumb crunchers are here to play video games every afternoon, I can hardly keep a Dorito in the house! They step out into the garden now and then to stretch their legs, but otherwise it's all gaming. The last thing the need is one more bad habit... And I understand that a seed can beget a forest of this stuff

GOOGLE machine:
De Nial, a north-flowing river in Africa, is among the world’s longest waterways, famed for its ancient history and the archaeological sites along its shores. The fertile Lower Nial gave rise to early Egyptian civilization and is still home to the Great Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza near Cairo. Sightseeing boats, from luxury liners to traditional felucca sailboats, also cruise between the cities of Luxor and Aswan.

See for yourself
