Japanese is weird.

An example of a Japanese letter, made by joining a consonant and a vowel = ご (go)
Language = 語 (go) e.g 日本語 (nihongo), Japanese
The number five = 五 (go) e.g 私は五コーヒーがあります, I have five coffee (random, I know)

They all sound the same but have different meanings depending on how they're written.

...not only that but they use three different alphabets too, and that doesn't even count the western alphabet they sometimes throw in the mix just for grins.
