The Reverend Club (part 3)

This is what I had save from either the website or an email from Reverend regarding the 5L. switch

1 3-position voicing switch: UP=both pickups in parallel, MID=neck pickup alone, DOWN=both pickups in series.

Interestingly enough, on my 5L (one of the first ten made) the middle position is bridge pickup only, which is my favorite. They must have changed that at some point -- I don't think mine has been modded in the slightest.

Ordinarily, I hate soloing a bridge pickup, but on the 5L, it's so far from the bridge (and slanted), that it sounds more like a reverse P than a typical J bridge.

Many, many times I've thought of selling my 5L. I have way too many basses as it is. Then I pick it up and plug it in, and that thought goes right out the window.

The green one!
What am I thinking, I just sold a red one because I had too many JJs. But, green is one of those cool colors that just seems to suit a Rumblefish. Let's keep this one in the family, guys!

Dave,
I almost bought your red one, because it seemed like I'd have a Christmas pair! The red & green would have looked so beautiful just hanging out with each other!
Anyway, I'm downsizing, tend to play my G&L's more than anything else, so the greenie may go up next week....

Thanks for all the info regarding the controls. I've joined the Reverend Forum and have emailed Reverend themselves so hopefully I'll have everything I need soon.

I may however go for a four position rotary switch so I can have each individual pickup as well as the series and parallel settings. I have two other basses that have single coil pups with a series setting and they both sound massive! It's one of my favourite sounds.
