Finally did my first full cover w/ my Sentinel and picked something appropriate I think:
Has anyone tried the Labella 760 M US on a Sentinel? I just put on a set and feel like this is a mystery.I'm talking about the E string, where the non-silk part touches the tuner, and then the D string the flexible ball end part seems to be somehow longer than the other strings, and goes over the saddle. Has anyone else encountered this?

THE SERIAL NUMBER HAS RUBBED OFF BECAUSE OF MY USE OF A CLIP ON TUNER.
Yes ,I'm yelling because it's aggravating.
I figured it would be under the finish or similar.
I though I would pass this on.
I had considered selling it due to having six basses , but I'm kind glad , while it won't prevent a sale, it is a red flag for a lot of people and is a no go for retail.
I've emailed reverend to see what they will say. the fact it's hand written I could just re-write it, but that's sketchy and out of my character.

Sorry that this happened to you. It has happened before if you look around and I'm sure it'll happen again.
It is an unavoidable by-product of Reverend's rigorous QC and final setup process. Reverend guitars have the bulk of the assembly done by Mirr - there is no painting or lacquering done in Toledo (unless ZSG is restoring something broken). If they were to put the serial numbers on before the guitars made it to Toledo, then inevitably there would be gaps in the squences as guitars are often rejected or recycled. Reverends only get a serial number assigned when they are finished with setup and QC by hand, and the handwritten number reflects that.
Clip-on tuners have been known to potentially mar finishes for years and years. It is an inherent risk that has been well documented at this point.
I imagine Reverend will offer to re-serial it for you if you have the card indicating what it is, but I would just leave it. All the serial does is help date it and prove that it was finished. If you have the documentation, then you need not worry, and even if you don't, nothing leaves Reverend unless it is ready to go, so it's no worries for resale.

Proud moment it was not
I was contemplating buying the Lil Linhbacker but instead found a demo Avocado Burst Dub King for $795 out the door. I'll post pics after I pick it up!
That sounds great, I will look forward to the pics. I am considering one of those myself. and I think the avo burst is a fantastic color.

That's beautiful. I got a Sentinel from Sweetwater that was a demo. I asked my guy if he could get me even more off so he was able to drop another 150 off the price. I literally can't find the scratches that made a demo…. Great bass, and an amazing deal!
I found a similar Sweetwater deal for my Triad. I never would have noticed the imperfection if they hadn't specifically shown it to me.
I had played a Dub King previously and was impressed but dang this thing kills for the price. Does it play as well as my Moollon or Serek basses....no, but it sounds huge and plays well enough!
That's great to hear. Have you tried playing it standing up, and if so, does it balance pretty well?
I use 3" wide Couch straps and it balances well with them. I haven't used a narrower strap yet.
Hi all. New to me Reverend Mercalli-5 in metallic blue. This is an early model in a color that seems to be pretty rare. Haven't seen too many in metallic blue, but the ones I have seen had a black back were mine is metallic blue. Can anyone shed any light on this?

I have the proto of the Mercalli when they first started making basses again. It has a black back.They started out with black backs, not sure for how long, and then they changed to all over color.
