The Reverend Club (part 8)

New Reverend owner here. My local shop got a Dub King in, and I just kept going back in to play it. I finally had to take it home.

Happened to have a short scale set of GHS Balanced Nickels on hand waiting for the right bass. Threw them on, and they feel and sound great.

Just knocked out a tort guard for it because, as we all know, tort guards have the best tone. I think it looks pretty good against the natural finish. How bout y'all?

Forgot to take a before pic, so the stock guard is just sitting over the tort, not screwed on. The tort pic is a little skewed from trying to find an angle that didn't reflect my messy living room in the freshly-peeled, shiny new guard.

I love that natural finish. The tort looks good.

Alright Triad owners, tell me about your favorite tones. I have a recently-acquired Fellowship that's so good it makes me want another Reverend. Based on Lobster's video, it seems like some of the best tones coming out of the Triad are P-like, which obviously I already have really well covered. Are you getting Jazz/Ric/Ray-like tones out of the other positions?

I definitely wanted one of these and drove out to Sweetwater to get one only to find out the Reverend has discontinued the natural finish. Not sure what the new colors will be, guess I will just have to wait and find out.
We still have some Natural Triads on stock
