I owe you all an apology, it seems that I forgot to post pics of my Mercalli FM5.
So here they are

Damn - that is a sweet looking instrument!
Well played sir!
The flame maple top really is an awesome match for that body shape IMO.
How does the Front P pickup of the Mercalli compare to the Cutlass hanging on the wall?
Great set of basses BTW!

Hey Rafael C, Chag Hannuka Sameach to you too, Bro'
Absolutely right. My 12 years old daugther saw the MErcalli and she said: "Wow, it's a very beautiful bass. Don't sell this one. I don't want you to sell it!!"
Reverend Guitars is indeed a great company that make awesome and outstanding basses and guitars.
Wish some guitar designs would be ported to basses.
As for the G&L matter, this one is for you. It was "love at the first sight" [I'm a sucker at the Fiesta (Fullerton) red color].

Another, very well built one but 2k NIS more than the Mercalli.
Very different basses, so no overlapping functions, lucky me.
Oh yeah!!Is the Kiloton as aggressive as it's name suggests?
Awesome.Oh yeah!!
and LOUD!! there will be a small learning curve, for sure.
I'll tell you what...mine sounds remarkably like my L2000.I played a few acoustically (time constraints) in a local music store the other day. I have to say I like the looks of their basses and they played nicely as well. What would you say they sound comparable to or do they have a sound all their own??
I feel the same. Now if they would just start offering matching headstocks again! I imagine the blue with a matching headstock.
The split brick PU in my Mercalli is the best Precision sound I've heard in a 5er. I'm not a fan of the bridge PU in any bass so I won't speak on that one.I played a few acoustically (time constraints) in a local music store the other day.
