will make one using yours as a template, they come out great. I've not used him on a Rev, but the principals are all the same...

One potential snag.. aren't the Rev's pickups and controls attached to the pickguard? So, you'd have to disassemble all that stuff. (I remember several years ago, Joe said you could get your JJ 4-string converted to an XL, if you sent him the pickguard with the pickups and pots attached..)

You're right. Joe said to send the pickguard and pickups for a JJ-to-XL conversion, but they are separate. I guess a pickguard maker wouldn't have any trouble working around the pots.

Yessir, pots come off easy. Set screws on the knobs, retaining nuts on the pots and input jack, and yer done.

I wish I could find a black pickguard for mine.. Just for a little different flavor.

Ha, I sold my red fish mostly 'cos my gold guards would'nt fit, and I detest the pearl one that came with it.

Worthless Fish factoid; Not all guards are perfectly inter-changeable. At some early point, some of the screw holes were repositioned.

Man, how good would that look with a tort guard? I'm on the lookout for a black 'Fish with a maple fretboard for that very purpose.
What's up with the serial number on that one? #34442? I've never seen a five-digit serial number on a Reverend.
