I'm no expert as far as describing tone and sound. All I know is I've had a few high end amps and cabs and LMII blows them away. It brings out the unique sound of each one of my basses. I think Kjung has two of them now??
I played through a Markbass 2x10 combo at Guitar Center and it blew me away. Great tone, not to mention the sheer volume for its size. I might just have to sell off my 1,600 watts (and 110 lbs.) of doom.
I really like some of the Markbass stuff I've played. I would love to get a small Markbass combo for around the house.
Anyone tried their Reverend through a Phil Jones Briefcase? Ever since I saw the pics a TBer did of having his recovered in tweed I've been curious about those.
For a smaller rig, that Thunderfunk/Acme Low B2 rig that TBer atrapp brought to the recent GTG completely blew my mind about the potential of a smaller rig. It handled one of those contrabass type axes all the way down to the low f# and barely broke a sweat. The bottom that cab had was jaw-dropping. Now that I'm all laid up with my back, I'm starting to get more curious about mini rigs.
Since I don't have to move it, OTOH, I'm still lovin' my Brunetti/Bergantino best.

I was considering the Thunderfunk but the LMII has more power than I need and it's half the price. I just played my Kubicki 5er for a few hours and it also sounds incredible through the LMII. This little amp is the best thing I've bought in years 
Anyone playing their Fishes through a Markbass amp?? I just picked up an LMII. HOLY CRAPOLA!!! My 5L sounds INCREDIBLE through itIt really brings out the Reverends unique sound better than any other amp I've tried. And the B string..........

I got mine about 2 months ago the LMII with the 2X10 compact cabinet. Sounds killer with my PJ which has rounds on it and my JJ with flats sounds sick through it crank up the VLE just a bit and wo, talk about vintage tone!!!

That scratch sort of kills my interest in it. If I'm going to lay out the funds for one, it's got to be a nice one. The right one will come along sooner or later.

I gave up on the Carbon Fiber lamination idea. That was an expensive lesson in futility. I work with carbon fiber and special adhesives all the time but couldn't make it work on the Reverend
I went with the redneck hotrod finish in bondo and primer. The area of the hole is stronger than new. It might be FUGLY but it plays perfectly.
I always thought you undersold the quality of that repair, knifemaker.

Crap. Just when I've started drooling over one of those $1600 "zero gravity" recliners for my living room after my surgery.
Danged nice color. Probably a good thing I didn't see it on my birthday yesterday. My wife would NOT have been happy.
That one passed through my hands (a familiar statement to those who know me). My recollection is that although it is an ugly mark it was a scratch and not a more serious structural problem. It might put off a collector but as a player it's no big deal. My drummer really liked that one.
Thanks Matrok! EDIT pics added. I glued a larger piece of thin Micarta to the inside of the hole. I used epoxy/glass beads for filler on top of that. It's plenty strong, stronger than the original material and not much thicker. You guys know that that the Rev's body is only about .050 thick??

Mojo comes in many forms and flavors, my good man. As a silver lining, you now have a truly unique finish, which suits the Reverend vibe just fine. It just needs some kickass name to describe it.
