I work at the NBC station here in Columbia.
Some cats I play with were passing thru town, and short a bass player, so I sub'ed for them on this local talk show we do here.
If I can get the clips on youtube, I will; and sometimes this show streams highlights of the show.
I played the gold P/J thru an swr baby blue II 2x8+5.

It's "just country stuff," and not really wehre a P/J strung with rounds shines, but what the heck. I think it'll be streaming at the "Pepper and Friends" section of www.komu.com sometime after 1pm central.
I got clients to go deal with tho, and then two other shows, with two other bands to take care of tonight...what a cool day!

The young kid is one of the guys in the Ironweed Bluegrass Band...we just got awarded a grant from The Friends of China here to go play the Tsingtao Beeer Festival in China...
2 million people attended last year!

That was some Fine playing! Perfect playing form, you weren't staring at your fingerboard, and you got your licks in! (Still no drums in the Grand Ol' Opry though...)
I played in a country band during the "Urban Cowboy" era, and I learned to have a lot of respect for CBGB players. (Country, Blue Grass, & Blues) Especially the discipline and use of melodies to create good music. In the Speed Metal, Hard Core world that I came from, it was all Volume & Velocity.

That sorta thing is still all new to me, and not at all my forte; thanks for the props
I'm really much more of a jazz, blues, and r&b guy.
The guitar player is 73, and has played with many, many country folks from the Grand Ole Opry heyday.
The kids kinda splits his time b/t here and Nashville, and while I don't know any of the names he was rattling off, he was on the road with that guy that "sang the Ford Truck commercial" last year, if I remember right-which I might not, as I really don't know jack about country....
I'm really much more of a jazz, blues, and r&b guy.

It's not working for me, because I really need to get updated on plugins and all that. Last time I updated iTunes, it took me an hour to get "Old Crashy" (as we call the computer) restarted without it locking up.

I'm not so great on five, but maybe this will be the one that sells me on putting away the four-stringers. Or, maybe I'll have to add a four-string Reverend to the equation at some point.
In any case, I can't wait to give it a spin.
